We will visit the magical dunes of the Sary-Kum sand dune, an ancient village Khunzakh and the Tobot waterfall.
Memorable locations
We will visit a trout farm and a village in Karachi crag.
Picturesque sceneries
We will walk through the Chirkeyskoe and the Irganayskoye water reservoirs – the two biggest ones in the region.
We will visit the Kharadakh gorge and the famous Sulak Canyon in the Sulak river valley.
Traditional cuisine
We will dine in front of a fire, while listening to local legends and embracing the traditional cuisine.
Renowned hospitality
We will enjoy listening to the musicians playing the traditional instruments and will truly experience the Caucasian hospitality.

TOUR PROGRAM

JANUARY 4-8, 2022
DAY 1
Guests will arrive at Makhachkala (the capital of Dagestan). The group will consist of a maximum of 6 people.Upon arrival, we will check in to the accommodation, introduce ourselves to our hosts, have lunch, and rest.

Then, we will take a journey to the Sary-Kum sand dune – the second biggest sand dune in the world. After a walk in the dunes and listening to the local legends, we will have a chance to try the authentic cuisine of Dagestan. We will sit in front of a fire and nourish our minds and bodies: we’ll try a delicious local dish and comfort ourselves with a warm discussion about the local traditions.
DAY 2
After breakfast, we will depart to the deepest Sulak Canyon, carved by the Sulak river. We will visit the trout farm that produces foodstuffs of exceptional internationally acclaimed quality.

Then, we will continue our search for the breathtaking sceneries of the region by exploring the biggest Chirkeyskoe water reservoir.
On our way to the reservoir, we won’t forget to have a lunch stop.
In the evening, we will return back to our accommodation and have some free time.
DAY 3
We will have breakfast and then visit a village in Kharachi crag, from where we will follow our journey to Irganayskoye water reservoir.
After seeing the natural sceneries, we will meet musicians and enjoy the show with traditional musical instruments.

Then, we will return home, have a delicious local dinner and reflect on our experience together.
DAY 4
We will have breakfast and then take a journey to the unique natural monument – the Kharadakh gorge. It is a picturesque place, naturally created by erosion in the Kvartakh river.

Then, we will continue our exploration by visiting an ancient village Khunzakh – a place with a rich history, and a Tobot waterfall – the highest and the deepest waterfall in the Dagestan region.

In the evening we will return to our accommodation and have dinner in front of a fire and with a special traditional dish.
DAY 5
We’ll have breakfast. Depending on our decision and if time permits, we will go to the mountain village Gamsutl’ – “the fortress of the King”.

Nourished by the fresh mountain air, the beauty of nature, the welcoming spirit of the Caucasian culture, we will take a journey from Makhachkala back home.
